Built with Love
At Mindu, we are on a mission to help families extend the life of their kids’ pre-loved items and create a world where outgrown pieces become value, not waste.
Because kids grow fast. Really fast.
And if you’re a parent, you know what that means: outgrown clothes, barely-used gear, and toys your little one loved for about five minutes. Meanwhile, your closets are bursting and the planet’s paying the price.
Every year, millions of baby and kid items sit unused in homes — or worse, end up in landfills. In fact, 80% of plastic toys and 95% of kids' strollers are tossed within just a few years.
Mindu was built to change that.
We believe secondhand should be the first choice — for families and for the future. With AI-powered listings to save you time, trusted local connections for peace of mind, and a seamless, user-friendly experience, buying and selling feels effortless.
Less waste, more space, and a little more ease for everyone.
Because raising kids is hard enough. Let’s make this part easier. From one family to another. We make it easy to pass it on or pick it up.
Our Story
Hi, I’m Anna, and this is my goddaughter Olivia, or as I like to call her, Mindu. I gave her this nickname when she was a baby, inspired by the Portuguese word for peanut, amendoim, which I lovingly shortened to Mindu.
I’ve always been passionate about sustainability. After working in the fashion industry and seeing how much waste and overproduction it created, I became a big advocate for secondhand. I scoured thrift shops, online stores, and garage sales for quality pieces that deserved a second life. For over a decade, around 80% of my closet and furniture has been pre-loved. But when I looked for similar options for kids, I was surprised by how limited the choices were.
After years in consulting and at Google, I decided it was time to build something of my own that aligned with my values: a marketplace that’s simple, thoughtful, and built specifically for families. Join me in making buying and selling better for you and for the planet.
